Formation Journeys
These six self-paced formation courses draw on the OSSM Rule of Life, its commentary, and other Servite documents exploring our history, Marian spirituality, fraternity, and compassionate service.
Designed for initial and ongoing formation for Secular Servites, members of the Servite Confraternity, associates, and anyone seeking to follow Jesus Christ with Holy Mary, Mother and Servant of the Lord.
Their purpose is to deepen our Servite identity and union with God, allowing prayer and study to bear fruit in love for others. Each course guides you through Scripture, original Servite readings, clear summaries, reflection questions, and practical daily or weekly acts. Study individually or with your community, move at your own pace, and return to the lessons as your vocation grows.
Solemn Celebration of Our Lady of Sorrows
On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Servite Family gathered at Our Lady of Sorrows Basilica in Chicago to celebrate our Patroness, Our Lady of Sorrows. The Basilica is home to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Sorrows and the National Shrine of St. Peregrine.
Fr. Don presided at the Eucharistic celebration, assisted by Deacon Norman, and Br. Thomas offered the reflection.
Gathered around the altar as members of the Servite Family, we honored Holy Mary in the mystery of her suffering and her steadfast union with her Son. Her presence at the foot of the Cross remains for the Servants of Mary a privileged image of faithful discipleship, compassion, and service.
Our Lady of Sorrows, Patroness of the Order of Servants of Mary, pray for us.
Br. Cole Makes His Solemn Vows
On the Feast of Saint Augustine, we rejoice with Brother Cole as he professes his Solemn Vows as a Friar Servant of Mary!
May Our Lady, Mother and Servant of the Lord, accompany him as he gives himself more fully to Christ in prayer, fraternity, and service. Please join us in praying for Brother Cole and for all those discerning a vocation to the Servite family.
Congratulations, Brother Cole!
Cradles to Crayons Service Project
We volunteered at Cradles to Crayons and the whole experience was great!
We sorted large bins of clothing and before we knew it, our time was over. We were given a tour of the facility and were told how they distribute items and how everything is packed, serving over 300,000 CPS students and families.
It was an amazing experience to take a small part in the bigger picture of helping all those who are in need.

A Blessed Visit From Brother Cole, OSM
Our OSSM community was blessed to welcome Brother Cole, OSM, who shared his vocation story, his personal experiences of God’s presence, and wisdom on how we can better listen to God and deepen our communion with Him in everyday life.
We are grateful for his witness, his openness, and the reminder that God is always speaking—we simply need to make room to listen.
Thank you, Brother Cole! May God bless you and your ministry always!
Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us!
A Big Welcome to our New Brothers!
