Cradles to Crayons Service Project!
August 15th, 2026
We volunteered at Cradles to Crayons on August 15, 2026. The whole experience was great! We got our name tag and headed back to where everyone was sorting. The gentleman in charge showed us where everything was and also had a fellow volunteer explain things to us as we got started.
We started sorting large bins of clothing. There were different levels of volunteers—people who were first-timers and others who had volunteered many times before. We listened to music and helped each other determine where items needed to be placed.
Before we knew it, our time was over, and then we were given a tour of the facility. We were told how they distribute items and how everything is packed, serving over 300,000 CPS students and families.
It was an amazing experience to take a small part in the bigger picture of helping all those who are in need.

Our OSSM community was blessed to welcome Brother Cole, OSM, who shared his vocation story, his personal experiences of God’s presence, and wisdom on how we can better listen to God and deepen our communion with Him in everyday life.
We are grateful for his witness, his openness, and the reminder that God is always speaking—we simply need to make room to listen. 🙏🖤
